The digitalimpact.io site is designed to help nonprofit organizations and foundations use digital data safely, ethically and effectively. The site is home to community-curated tools, policy templates, and guidelines to help the staff of civil society organizations build digital data governance programs that align with their missions and capacities.

Good Data Grants

Markets for Good’s Good Data Grants program focuses on the role of digital data and infrastructure to improve decision-making in philanthropy (particularly individual giving) and in the social sector writ large.

Grants are awarded for two types of projects: scholarly research and practical innovations. We aim to foster research, prototypes, and shared learning that can help donors and social sector organizations use digital data safely, ethically, and effectively to improve their work.

The next Good Data Grants cycle will open in Spring 2017. Stay tuned for details!

Grantees for the inaugural, 2016 cycle of the program were announced in January 2017. Click here to view the announcement.

Markets for Good has shared an interactive data visualization of the ideas and projects proposed through the 2016 grants cycle. Click here to view the full list of 2016 cycle applicants who agreed to publicly share details about their projects.
